How has technology changed the way you watch movies and listen to music?
Sponsored by LifeScoop: Bringing You Tips for a Connected Lifestyle. Not so much with movies, but I have bought some episodes of NCIS, Bones, and House for my iPod. The only movie I've bought from iTunes is Sneakers. I have it on VHS, but never got it on DVD. I'm sure I could of found it at the bargain bin at Wally World, but I hate that place. Right, wrong, or indifferent, the last few CDs I've bought were used (via Amazon Marketplace). It was cheaper that way. I've never played the CDs, just rip them. Not that I listen to all of it all of the time, but it's nice having 90% of your music with you for those moments when you just got to hear that one song. Speaking of which, I don't know how many CDs I bought just to get that one song. I'm glad those days are over! (Well, mostly over.)
I used to love Last.FM, but I'm finding less and less music where I can listen to the whole track. It's still a great way to discover new stuff.
I still can remember my portable record player (similar to this, minus woody woodpecker) and had a Super Friends record case full of kids music. My second stereo was a hand-me-down that was AM/FM/Record Player, plus 8-Track - I know...SCORE! Actually had the soundtrack to Grease on 8-Track. Do I miss it? Purely as nostalgia. I don't think the current generation is missing out.
I rarely listen to radio anymore too. I mostly download various podcasts for music and news. Sans the iPhone, I've yet seen a phone that's a great MP3 player. I'll probably be old school the rest of my life and have a separate phone/GPS/camera?MP3 player.

- Waiting in line at the drive-thru, and the redneck ahead of me keeps spitting our the window. If you chew, keep a cup or bottle. Better yet, QUIT!
- Being sick. First I had the flu a couple weeks ago. Now just getting over a cold from hell.
- The new Total Care Listerine. You can't eat or drink after using it for 30 minutes and it leaves my mouth funky in the morning.
- CVS - You've screwed me for the last time. I've gotten into the habit of checking for expiration dates on the over the counter medicine. Still, to get anything that has the real Sudafed (pseudoephedrine) in it, you have to go back to the pharmacy. So, a couple weeks ago, I got a box of cold meds with pseudoephedrine from the pharmacy and noticed last week that expired back in May 2009. WTF? And of course I've already threw away the receipt. I should switch, but they are so close to where I live. I might go to Walgreens.
- Staying in for lunch and people come to your office wanting you to do something. Come on peeps...it's my lunch our. Leave me alone!
