Wow, what a year so far. Mommy has finally had a chance to look at the photos on the camera and post some of them on here. I have tried to make an album of Tyler stuff and one of Rusty stuff. Take a few minutes to check out the handsome men in my life!
Once I have a chance to get Halloween pictures I will get them up here. My goal is to have them posted before Christmas! :)
Wow, so much for me keeping this blog up to date with our activities. I have little to no time to do anything, but we took some great video of Tyler learning to crawl today, so we posted it on YouTube.com.
Tyler is now 8 months old. He can sit up on his own, loves all food that enters his mouth, and has discovered that he LOVES bath time. He is almost 24 pounds, so he is a little roley-poley fat boy. :)
Rusty is now in 4th grade at Carroll Elementary and loving it. He is a Webelos scout, and mommy is the leader. We are really enjoying being a Cub Scout. They have so much fun. There are 6 boys in our Den, and some days it feels like 30!
Seth and I are still fine. He is working construction and hauling containers on the weekends. I am still at Nationwide Children's Hospital in the Dental Clinic. I am hoping to hear back from OSU soon to see if I am accepted. I would like to go back to school to do a degree in either Mathematics or Biology with a minor in Public Health. (The long term goal is to go into Dental Research.)
I will try harder to keep this up to date. Hope all is well!!

After a long and sometimes interesting 39 weeks, our newest family member has finally arrived. Tyler made a whiz-bang entrance at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster to a room of adoring family. He and mommy did great, and were released on Thursday afternoon. Since then, he has spent his days in the lap of luxury (mom's lap), drinking the finest drink (milk) and being waited on hand and foot! But what else do you expect when you're little and cute?! So far, it looks like he will have light brown hair and his eyes are changing from blue to brown. He looks so much like both mommy and daddy, and a lot like Rusty too!
Rusty has taken on the role of Big Brother like a pro. He loves holding Tyler and helping out in (almost) any way he can. (He draws the line at dirty diapers.) There are a couple of great pictures of them together posted on here. Be sure to check them out.
Keep watching here to see new pictures as I get them posted. I will also try to get some good videos too!
Today was Rusty's first Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. As a Bear Scout, he was required to make a car out of a block of pine wood and race it down a track. So, he and Pap made, sanded, painted and decorated a beautiful Carolina blue dragster.
The race divides the Cub Scouts into their ranks, being Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos. Each rank races for First, Second and Third place. Then the First place winner of each group race for a Grand Champion. Well, Rusty won as a Bear Scout, then proceeded to crush everyone else in the Championship also! He won Grand Champion by a landslide! There were races that he was beating the competition by at least 2 feet!
I have posted some new pictures for you to see him getting ready to race, in his uniform, with his 5 fellow Bear Scouts, the 4 First place finishers, and then Rusty with his Grand Champion trophy! Also, there are some pictures of a few of the other unusual designs we saw. The shark was a personal favorite of mine, and Rusty liked the OSU car the best.
Hope you all enjoy!
Well, we TRIED to have a baby yesterday, but he decided at the last minute to hang in there a little longer! :) I can already see that our little bundle of joy is going to have a stubborn streak a mile wide.
Per doctor's instructions, we went to the hospital last night around 7:30 with contractions about 10 minutes apart. They did all of the usual checks to us, and we settled in for what we thought to be a nice, productive evening. As the night went on, we could see that fate was teasing us, and the contractions weren't doing any good. So, this morning, we re-packed our goodies in our little suitcase and headed home, sans baby.
The last trip to the OB/GYN was this past Tuesday, as which we were told it should "hopefully" only be a week or so until the grand debut, but we will have to see what this Tuesday has to bring. I will keep you posted!
As a new year begins and an old one gets laid to rest, we get a great opportunity to look back on things that happened in 2006. The holiday season was great for our family. Rusty had a fantastic Christmas, his last as an only child. Santa was very generous, as were Mom and Dad. In fact, Tyler-to-be received a fair number of gifts also, even though he hasn't made his grand debut yet! I posted some pictures of Rusty and Grandma decorating the Christmas tree. I also have one of Hank helping Dad get the tree in the stand straight. (I guess he thought two extra sets of "hands" were going to be helpful.)
2006 was great for our family. Seth started a new job in the spring that he really likes, and Jessica started at Children's Hospital. We found out our little family was going to grow by another boy, and have had a great time getting ready for him. Rusty also FINALLY lost his first tooth! We were beginning to wonder if he was planning on holding onto them forever! There is a picture of his semi-toothless grin posted.
2007 has been uneventful the first few days. I figure that's a good thing, considering the hoopla that will be coming in about 4 weeks! Our due date is February 8th, but I doubt it will be that long. :) Keep your fingers crossed that everything goes well. I will post appropriate pictures of the great event once I get a chance to after I get home. The "belly picture" that I posted is from November, so I am even bigger than that now. At the time, my waist was at 36". I am approaching 40" now, and have gained about 25 pounds.
I will post more Christmas pictures of Rusty opening gifts soon. Still have to get them downloaded from the camera.
Hope everyone had a great holiday and wish you all a great New Year!
With the start of 2007 right around the corner, our family has decided to start a blog to help keep all of our friends and family up-to-date on our activities and additions.
As most of you (should) know, Seth, Rusty and I are anxiously awaiting the birth of Tyler in February. This page will help Mommy organize and post all of the new pictures. Keep watching as Mommy grows and grows, then finally pops!
We are also excited to use this page to show you all of the fantastic things that Rusty is involved with and his day-to-day activities. So far, we have Cub Scout activities, decorating the Christmas tree this year and losing our first tooth!
I will try to update everything on a regular basis, so check frequently for new pictures and updates.
Hope you all enjoy our page!
