A day late :(
It's not too often we get the entire Tri together, in fact, its only been a few times that the current 6 (Triple Tri 3.0) have all been together. Caught a Columbus Clippers game two weeks ago and had a chance to snag a picture of all of us while we were there. Had a blast that weekend visiting and catching up with everyone. These guys help keep my head above water and my feet on the ground - it's a rare thing to find a person who readily supports you while still shooting it to you straight - and I've been lucky enough to find a whole gaggle of them. I don't hesitate to admit that my life is happier because I'm part of this six pack.

I read this book shortly after I got it for Christmas (from Ashlin, thanks.) and really enjoyed it. Controversy or not, I'm a huge Bear Grylls fan -- more for the knowledge, determination, and accomplishments than the shock-factor of his shows. This book goes into the planning and mental process of preparing for and completing the first unassisted crossing of the frozen north Atlantic in a rigid inflatable boat.
It's been a while since I posted about what I was reading, so I thought it was time that I get back into that (thanks for the nudge Jim)
I've been reading this book on and off for the last month - I haven't finished it yet, but it's great. Sometimes it's hard to imagine that twisted path that Stephen uses to get to his conclusions, but it's seldom I read a chapter that I'm not laughing by the end. I'm about half way through and I'd already whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone. Grab a copy and give it a go -
